Marla Armstrong has been the Art Curriculum Specialist, K-12 for Broward County Public Schools, sixth largest school district in the nation, since 1998. She served as the FAEA Conference co-chair in 2001. Marla is responsible for K-12 Visual Arts curriculum articulation in Broward, designing and initiating professional development in art, participating in the evaluation and selection of art materials and equipment, coordinating district-wide exhibitions and providing direct assistance to the 300+ art teachers in Broward County. She serves as the School Board of Broward County's liaison to all community cultural and art venues.
