Jacqueline Henson-Dacey is an IB Visual Arts instructor at Riverview High School in Sarasota County. She is an active member of FAEA, SAEA and NAEA. Jackie has presented at both the FAEA and NAEA conferences for the past 21 years. She has served as vice president, president and editor of her local association, SAEA. Jackie holds a B.F.A. in Painting, an M.A. in Art Education, Gifted Endorsement and is currently seeking a PhD in Philosophy and Art. She is an adjunct professor of Art History at the State College of Florida. Jackie has traveled throughout Europe, studying art and art history and had an opportunity to co-teach art on a people-to-people peace exchange program in Egypt. As part of her travels, she evaluates portfolios as an IB Visual Arts examiner for North America. Jackie also finds time to create art, specifically encaustic paintings and mixed media collages. She was honored with a solo show last summer at the Jacaranda Gallery in Venice, Florida.
